To apply for a State Library card, please submit our online card application

PINs

You will now use a confidential 6-digit PIN when signing into your library card account.

View our self-paced tutorial to help you set or reset your PIN. The PIN is separate from your library card number.

You will need to use your PIN when requesting library materials in the State Library catalog and the MOBIUS catalog. 

You will not need your PIN for Libby or any other digital resources.

*Please note: Reference Services staff do not have access to or know your PIN. If you forget your PIN, you will need to reset it on your own.

The Letter M

If your current library card has a handwritten letter "m" on the back of it, please cross it out.

You will no longer need to include the "m" at the end of your card number when signing into your account, verifying your card number in Libby, or using digital resources remotely.

You will only need to use the 14-digit number on the back of your library card. Do not include any spaces.

Email Changes

Hold pickup notices, overdue reminders, PIN resets etc. will come from "fse.hosting@ebsco.com" email address.

*Please note: This email is not monitored, so do not reply to it.

Instead, to email Reference Services staff directly, please send an email to libref@sos.mo.gov

Checking Your Library Card Account

To sign into your library card account, you will use your 14-digit library card number (without the M) and your 6-digit confidential PIN.

From there, you can see your current holds, checkouts, and any fees/fines. You can renew your books from the Checkouts tab.

Pick Up Anywhere

Unfortunately, picking up materials at our MOBIUS partner libraries is unavailable until further notice.
