Missouri residents must apply for a State Library card in person at the State Library by presenting a valid Missouri state-issued photo ID. Missouri residents with a State Library card may check out circulating library materials in person, with a checkout limit of two items at a time.
Missouri residents are also welcome to borrow circulating State Library materials through interlibrary loan at their local library. Eligible Missouri residents may also be served by the Wolfner Talking Book and Braille Library, another division of the State Library.
Missouri residents and the public may also access freely available Missouri state publications, as well as federal government information and resources. Reference assistance is also available by contacting us.
